JUICE DIETS

These are becoming a craze at the moment so I thought I would give you me perspective. I have a few problems with the concept, how they get their products out and the actual diet.

Firstly they employ people 'distributors' with absolutely no nutritional backgrounds or qualifications. These people will try and sell you the products with 'iffy' before and after pictures. These pictures can be made to look different by so many tricks of the trade such as lighting camera angles sucking the gut in etc. There is also no scientific evidence of this diet working also!

"Resting the digestive system and strengthening the immune system" is a term I have come across which has absolutely no medical weighting! & for the people who say I want to cleanse and rid my body of toxins YOU DON'T NEED TO. Your body is designed to do this already.

So what is the way forward? Natural unprocessed foods with small amounts of supplements. Take the supps out of the equation for a moment though. Take cavemen (the most fit & healthy humans have ever been) they ate meat and vegetables and exercised (through hunting) which made them that healthy. This is why there is such things as the 'paleo diet' which replicates our ancestors diets. Why? BECAUSE THEY ONLY ATE NATURAL THINGS. This means our bodies are programmed to have natural good foods and will not be able to survive on just juice.

You will see very fast effects as you are practically putting your body into survival mode so it is burning your fat stores! This is unhealthy and won't last. Burn your fat in an effective way by using foods that speed your metabolism! There is a lot more to say on this matter but I feel i have proven my point. Oh and I mention supps because it is a new way to get more in ON TOP of your diet. Being fit healthy and looking good revolves around a balanced diet.

Another consideration: juice diet distributors and people that take them, they are usually going out every weekend or/and their profile picture shows them in a drunken state with a mcdonalds or something.... Should you really be taking nutritional advice of these people?
